Bathing Ape V Matsui

Celebrating the New York Yankees 27th Major League Baseball Championship, A Bathing Ape applaud the efforts of countryman and World Series MVP Hideki Matsui (DH for the Yankees) with a special t-shirt donning his number 55 on the backside along a crowned Bape logo on the front. The “Go Go” tee, meaning 55 in Japanese, goes on sale this Sunday, November 22nd exclusively through A Bathing Ape NYC. A US webstore launch is expected for Monday, November 23rd, 2009.

Mr.Cartoon X. Gshock

As part of the ‘Youth Culture’ G-shock mini-series, here are some exclusive photos of the release event for Mr. Cartoon’s effort. As you can see the designer/artist/illustrator, Cartoon himself was on hand to showcase the DW-6900 watch. With sharp detail, the watch is complete with classic Mr.Cartoon artwork in a silver/navy blue colourway. The watch is now available America-wide as well as online from G-shock.

Known for his use of playful themes within his collections and runway shows, most notably LEGO and Disney, Parisian fashion designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac introduces yet another interesting release from his always colorful label. Solidifying their place amongst the most renown labels within streetwear, Play Cloths return for another season, giving us a preview of whats in store for Fall 2009. This first delivery of garments features a play on classic Holiday colorways with red hues paired amongst black, white, and grey undertones as well as an appearance by the always welcomed forest green. Button-downs, graphic t-shirts, a varsity-style cardigan, crewneck, and accessories make the cut. A release can be expected towards the end of August 2009, at select Play Cloths retailers.

Bape V. G-Shock

 A Bathing Ape x CASIO G-SHOCK collection of watches will release this weekend as it features the classic DW-6900 model. The chunky rounded model features a black body with a mutli-colored rainbow print to mark the “G-SHOCK” logo on the top of the dial. In addition to being available on August 23rd, 2009 at BAPE STORES look for it to hit online as well.

W.N.I.K.E

 Sir Charles Barkley is the hilarious glue that holds TNT’s NBA studio shows together.  Gary Payton and Chris Webber are easily the two best reasons to tune into NBA TV (aside from obscure first-round playoff games, of course).  Webber sometimes moonlights on TNT, dishing it with Sir Charles as well as he did from the power forward position.  Webber wore Nikes early in his career, but the *turrible* move to Dada may have cost him a spot in this new Nike ad campaign.

Chuck and the Glove are working together on Nike Basketball’s W.N.I.K.E. viral net ‘radio station’.  The idea is to push for outdoor ballin’ during the summer months and they’ve added to blacktop-geared releases like theAir Zoom Sharkalaid.  Enter the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III XDR.  Along with the new Ultimate Pure Grip rock, the Soldier III’s eXtra Durable Rubber makes it a perfect fit for your blacktop business.  W.N.I.K.E. is also pushing the Nike Dream Season, but no word yet on whether Kobe Bryant’s secondary shoe will see an XDR release.  via FRESHNESS

Only Bo Knows

The return of the Bo Jackson's to say the least have put a chill down my back. Seeing the Griffey's all summer has tempted me to go back to my childhood and cop a pair. Sheesh, they are hot and I need them in my life. 

Bo Jackson’s signature cross-trainer, the Air Trainer SC, returns nearly 10 years after its original launch, in its original colors. This is the color that was featured in the first “Bo Knows” commericals of the early 90’s, and helped establish the Air Trainer line as a success. The popular color and design were essential, but even more important was having a multi-sport athlete promote a multi-sport trainer. Bo Jackson was the ideal spokesman for the line.

G-Shock

In the midst of a large scale global tour, the following will release out of the CASIO G-SHOCK camp for 2009 July. A number of releases revolve around their iconic offerings, the square-shaped DW-5600 and round-dial DW-6900. Another addition includes the more contemporary stylings of the G-8100. All in all, it’s nice to see some more colorful releases as these have traditionally been restricted to collaboration models. Look fro these at select CASIO G-SHOCK retailers in July.

Rolex Submariner

Rolex Submariner, it's built with quality, super tough, and waterproof. Nigo recently showed off his Rolex Submariner in a super-fresh blue(drools) on his blog. A very sexy timepiece indeed, the Submariner is waterproof up to 300 meters/1,000 feet underwater, and has a uni-directional bezel to keep track of time spent and has a self-winding movement. When I was just looking for a watch, I mean lets keep it real a Rolex to replace my Gshock. Ooow. Thats a fact, I need a Rolly.

Nike Air Hoop Structure

First Thought was Insane. 

Nike’s newly developed Air Hoop Structure sneakers. The kicks take on the upper and original colorway of Nike’s classic Air Structure Triax ‘91 with a basketball sneaker sole. Having already seen a black/silver colorway set to release in November, these are another drop to look forward to heading into the Holiday 2009 season.
